Starline Tapbox Rental
Tap-off boxes are essential for drawing power from a busway system. These boxes feature a specialized plug head, commonly referred to as a paddle, which is inserted into the busway track slot. Once inserted, the tap-off box is twisted 90 degrees to establish an electrical connection. This action engages the paddle assembly blades with the busbar channel inside the busway track, forming a secure compression connection.
These tap-off boxes facilitate overhead power distribution networks by providing a seamless connection system. They are especially valuable for commissioning busways and verifying system operation when paired with a load bank and cables.
